既に何回かこのトピックスでお知らせしましたように、2018年度二学期からJETプログラム(The Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme)のALT（Assistant Language Teacher）の先生が2名、英国よりいらっしゃっています。
先生方は、定期的にEnglish Tea Timeを開いてくださっています。自由参加で、お茶とお菓子をともにしながら、英語での会話を楽しむ、素敵な時間となっています。特に中等科の生徒たちが多く参加して、和気藹々のひとときを過ごしています。
今回このEnglish Tea Timeの報告と感想を先生が書いてくださいましたので、掲載いたします。

English Tea Time

On Monday 8th of July we invited students to an English Tea Time event so that they could enjoy a cup of tea and celebrate the end of test week. We provided tea and introduced students to some biscuits and snacks from our home country, England. It was really nice to share some of our childhood favourites and we hope the students also enjoyed them.

We started off getting to know more about each other by making paper chatterboxes and using them to ask questions in English. It was really fun to find out about everyones’ favourite movies, subjects, animals etc.
Well done to everyone for being active and practising how to ask and respond to questions in English.

After that we played a series of exciting games such as evolution rock-paper-scissors and Pictionary (which resulted in a tie!) We ended the event with a small karaoke sing-a-long to English songs that were requested from the students. ‘Hello, Goodbye’ by The Beatles was a popular choice.

Thank you to all the students that attended, we hope you had fun getting to know each other and playing games in English. We are very impressed by your enthusiasm and we look forward to seeing you again!
