Hello! My name is Laura Kirby. I am originally from a small town called Milton Keynes in England. The town is located a little north of London. It’s about a 1 hour drive away. Before I arrived in Japan, I just graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Microbiology. I have always been very interested in the Japanese language and culture so I am very excited to be here. I am also very excited to talk to all the students in English and talk about my home country and culture. Despite popular belief, English food isn’t always disgusting! My hobbies include medieval re-enactment, martial arts and Dungeons and Dragons. So far, in Japan I have been to Kamakura, Oarai beach in Ibaraki and to Tokyo too, of course. Although I hope to also travel to Okinawa and Hokkaido and one day I will climb Mt. Fuji! I look forward to talking in English with you all. Please come and see me if you have any questions or would like to know more. I look forward to meeting you.
Hello, my name is Kim Ngo. I come from London in England. I used to live a 5 minute walk away from the Tower bridge. I studied Mathematics at university and I have worked as a Kumon assistant and as a maths tutor. I like to read a lot of books and I also like watching movies. I listen to many types of music, but I am especially interested in K-Pop. I also enjoy travelling and I have visited many countries around the world such as Denmark, Canada and South Korea.
I have been to Japan once before and I really enjoyed it so I am excited to be here again. My favourite thing in Japan is to visit the hot springs. Please feel free to talk to me in English about London, travelling, K-Pop or anything! I look forward to meeting you all.
