How to celebrate 130 years…
St. Hilda’s 45th cultural festival was held on the 6th and 7th of October 2018. We were very excited to experience our first ever cultural festival, as in England we do not have these types of festivals. Actually, in England, we also don’t have as many clubs in school as there are here. In most British schools you will usually only find sports clubs. So we were eager to see what the festival was like.
Walking through the front gates, we were delighted to find that the school had been transformed into a magnificent masterpiece, filled with cute decor and extravagant posters. Immediately it was apparent that the students had worked very hard for this festival. We applaud all your hard work, it must have been very tiring!
The general atmosphere of the school was buzzing as students ran around advertising their exhibitions and performances. We enjoyed many performances and classroom exhibitions, and the food and decor was exquisite. We also brought manga produced by the manga club and we were very impressed with the work of the students. We can’t wait to read them!
Finally, we would like to say congratulations to the winners. We enjoyed everything about the festival and had an amazing time! We will surely treasure the memory of our first cultural festival for a very long time. Well done everyone and thank you for the extraordinary experience!
